My Story

I am studying Music and Psychology (two separate degrees) at honors level at the University of Pretoria in South Africa. This isn't very important as this is only a little stepping block to my ultimate calling: to go into the world and bring HOPE, NURTURING and INSPIRATION

to broken communities though the beautiful and honest language of MUSIC.

So I guess I'll be a Ethnomusicology Community Music Therapist one day... 

(I don't think that exists yet, but then I guess I'll just be the first.)

This Blog is a result of God challenging me to start sharing His glory with the world.

About a two years ago I knew about God and believed in Him, but it was purely religion. I didn't go to church, because I had so many questions and so much anger towards God for things that have happened to me and the people I love. And I didn't have a Living relationship with Him. I had questions about little things too. For example, I thought that holy communion was like cannibalism and best of all, I couldn't understand why a Father would allow His son to be brutally murdered for the sake of others. 

At university I began going to a student church to see what the fuss was about. And besides, I couldn't shake the curiosity of the questions I had.

Needles to say, by opening myself up to His love and truth my life has changed 

not for the better, 

but for the BEST.

In this blog I will share with you what He has, and still is, sharing with me. 

I am an ordinary person just like you. 

And by sharing His story through our lives, 

we are changing the world 

one heart at a time.
